welcome to

goldenheart

you’ve reached a space to
grow where you’re planted.

To its left is a black metal plant stand with multiple potted plants, illuminated by a lamp. On the wall, there is a modern black clock with a minimal design and hanging pendulum.

I specialize in working with individuals who are ready for radical and holistic change in their lives. I work with adults struggling with substance use and behavioral addictions, eating disorders, childhood and recent trauma, and serious mental health diagnoses such as psychosis and personality disorders.

I offer a range of services, including individual and couples psychotherapy, psychodiagnostic evaluations, substance use and eating disorder assessments, and psychoeducational consultations for families of those struggling with addiction and/or serious mental illness.

Many of the areas that I specialize in treating have common themes of feeling stuck, lost, and hopeless. Often, these emotions can trap us in feelings of overwhelm, and wondering how we can break the cycle and reclaim our lives.

That’s where I hope to help.

Using scientific, evidence-based therapy, I work with clients to meet them where they’re at. I use multimodal therapeutic approaches to find the best fit that caters to individual success, and I challenge clients to do the hard work, all with genuine empathy and compassion for how hard it actually is.

We should talk.

the
goldenheart
mission.

Goldenheart was born of the love of my dog.

In my eating disorder recovery, like so many, I experienced many tough and dark days. There were times when I would convince myself that I would never truly know what it was like to be in recovery. At the same time, I was fully enmeshed in furthering my studies in addiction science. If I wasn’t starving to death, I was working myself to death.

This all changed after my Golden Retriever, Finn, came into my life. Each time I felt a sense of hopelessness, I would look to him and feel nothing but true, unbridled love and support. He was and is my biggest cheerleader, supporter, and friend. No matter how dark the days, there was always a ray of light.

Once I decided to commit to my recovery, I knew that it wasn’t Finn’s job to make me want to get better… it was my own mind, soul, voice, body, and self that needed to reclaim my life.

I began viewing my own eating disorder recovery from an addictions-focused lens, and I realized that so much of what could help me was right there in these incredible approaches to reclaiming your own life from systemic trauma, perfectionism, negative self-narrative, and the cyclical pattern of self-abuse.

Thus, Goldenheart Psychotherapy was born.
I have been treating clients with a unique perspective of recovery-focused approaches that create a nourishing space where you will be challenged, you will be pushed, and you will be encouraged to do the hard things… but most of all, you will be met with a genuine desire to see improvement in your life.

I’m a hard-ass for your mental health.
But always with a golden heart.
